The warm weather this week has apparently put the fall color change on hold. There is some fall color, but you’ll have to drive a ways to see it.

The western Upper Peninsula forests had started to change colors last week. This week the reports are that very little additional fall color has emerged. The western half of the U.P. is around 25 percent of peak fall color.
