KILLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - It’s tee time at Green Mountain National Golf Course in Killington. The fall foliage hasn’t peaked, but at the first hole you’ll find plenty of color.
Terry Manley is the official starter at Green Mountain National, the only municipally-owned golf course in the state.
“My job is to keep people on schedule on the tee sheet.”
Manley is the timer -- part enforcer, along with a touch of grandfatherly advice.
“It’s against Vermont state law to bring your own alcohol. And if you do and you get caught, we’re going to ask you to leave,” Manley advises, along with dispensing other tips. “You want to put your tee ball center or a little left of center...”
