FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control (FWACC) says community support is making all the difference for pets in need.
The shelters Angel Fund provides emergency care for animals who arrive sick, injured, or in poor condition, and it relies entirely on donations.
Mistyna Reiter with FWACC says one recent case highlights the impact of the Angel Fund.
On Wednesday, FWACC staff posted on Facebook about four-year-old Izzy, a surrendered dog from an owner who couldn’t take care of her anymore.
Izzy had a severely matted coat and dental issues; Reiter says her situation isn’t the worst the shelter has seen.
