MINNEAPOLIS — Starbucks is closing at least six locations in the Twin Cities, four of which in Minneapolis.
The company announced Thursday it was closing hundreds of stores across the country and laying off 900 non-retail employees. Starbucks said it expects to have 18,300 North American locations when its fiscal year ends on Sunday. As of June 29, the company had 18,734 locations, the Associated Press reports.
The company has not announced which stores are closing. However, under store hours, locations shutting down have "closed" listed for Sunday , Monday, Tuesday, and so on.
The six locations in the Twin Cities are:
Minneapolis: 120 S. 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402
Minneapolis: 2212 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55405
Minneapolis: 2544 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404
