The Chicago White Sox won’t be the only potential opponents of the New York Yankees ’ push for American League supremacy. Bad weather could delay their pursuit, too.

According to AccuWeathe r, the forecast at Yankee Stadium in New York has called for mostly cloudy and humid conditions with showers and thunderstorms that could bring flooding downpours and localized damaging wind gusts.

Yankees starter Carlos Rodón’s first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET. He will face Davis Martin.

The stormy pattern will continue into the evening hours, with a thunderstorm expected early tonight followed by partly cloudy skies and areas of fog developing late. The overnight low will remain warm at 68°.
