ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)---Elmira College is enhancing its healthcare experience by adding new nursing simulators to help students with hands-on clinical training.

The simulators were made possible through a $150,000 grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation’s Healthcare Workforce program, along with a donation from an Elmira College alumnus.

The high-fidelity simulators are real-life mannequins that can simulate real medical situations like giving birth to a child or having a heart attack.

For many of the students, this is their first time working with the simulators.
