Corning, NY (WETM) — The Corning Farmers Market has saw more people coming by this year because the Wisner Market in Elmira changed the date to Wednesday.

Vendors have seen more people at the farmers market and are happy the markets were on different days.

"It seems to me that attendance picked up quite a bit," said Linwood Ford, Owner of Ford Farms. "I think it's a good thing that they changed the date, so the markets are on adjacent dates."

Many people are happy with the day change, so they had the opportunity to visit both markets throughout the summer.

"I think that is great because they're trying to bring the two markets together and to help Elmira grow, said Halli Jennings, Manager of Millstreet Coffee Roasting. "They had switched it because they wanted some of us vendors from th
