SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — SWEPCO is reminding customers about the deadline to apply for the summer cooling bill.

Eligible customers have until September 30 to apply for the company's Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Customers in Texas can apply to the program year-round, or until funds are exhausted.

“Whether it’s LIHEAP, a payment plan, a payment extension, or average monthly payments, SWEPCO has dedicated people and programs ready to help the families and communities we serve,” said Paul Pratt, SWEPCO Director, Customer Services and Marketing.
