RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Millions of additional dollars could be approved for the Lenovo Center renovation project .
The North Carolina House and Senate recently approved a bill that would provide an extra $35 million for the project. The legislation is now on the Governor's desk.
A source told ABC11 the money would be used to improve road access along Edwards Mill Road in and out of the arena site.
Qiana Bryan has been to the Lenovo Center for Canes games and concerts.
"To hear about the exciting changes that we're going to have here (is) definitely something we're looking forward to," she said.
The arena is getting a $300 million renovation, which includes new luxury suites, a viewing bar, and a marketplace for fans.
