LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- The University of Louisiana Lafayette is in serious financial difficulty, according to reports.
As reported in The Current, UL’s interim president Interim President Jaimie Hebert revealed a $25 million “structural deficit” Wednesday requiring substantial cuts to balance.
Hebert said administrators and department heads had met for weeks and agreed to reduce spending by 10% across most divisions, identifying as much as $15 million in budget savings, according to reports.
