BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A treatment center in the capital city has now moved into a new place.
This week, the New Freedom Family Center welcomed its first client at its new location.
Supervisors with the drug and alcohol treatment center recently took over the former Best Western hotel along Skyline Boulevard, which closed last month. Workers have been converting some of the former hotel rooms to treatment rooms, where they'll focus on helping pregnant women and young mothers who may be struggling with addiction.
"I remember yesterday, there was multiple times that I was like, 'I think I'm going to cry. I think I'm going to cry,'" New Freedom Family Center clinical director Morgan Turner said. "There was just excitement, and it felt real, and it was like all this work in the last couple
