MINOT, ND (KXNET) — This week is National Child Passenger Safety Week, and the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services is teaming up with Vision Zero to make sure North Dakota families are keeping their kids safe at all times.
According to the 2024 National Digital Car Seat Check Form website, 70% of child car seats checked in North Dakota were misused last year. Common mistakes include incorrect usage of seat belts and harnesses, as well as tether straps being misused or not used at all.
Health and Human Services leaders recommend doing as much research as possible beforehand to figure out what car seat may be right for you and your family.
