DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department announced the results of an initiative to capture wanted sexual offenders, which led to the arrest of more than 100 people over the past three months.
Between July 1 and Sept. 23, "Mission Survivor Justice" led to the arrest of 118 wanted sexual offenders, officials said. Their arrest histories add up to more than 400 arrests.
"By arresting these sexual offenders, some of whom have extensive criminal histories, the Department is keeping our streets safe," DPD said in a news release.
DPD partnered with the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force to arrest offenders around Dallas and the state of Texas. Other partners include the FBI and the Dallas County District Attorney's Office.
