NEW YORK (PIX11) -- The 63rd New York Film Festival begins on Friday, allowing film enthusiasts to view a range of cinematic works before the major awards.

The festival not only offers movie screenings, but audience members can also participate in Q&As with directors, writers, and actors, depending on the showing.

Tickets for screenings are limited to two per household. Tickets can either be purchased online or in person at the Alice Tully Hall box office.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before showtime. Bag checks are required.
