PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a woman dead Wednesday evening.

The crash happened around 10:40 p.m. in North Portland near North Marine Drive and North Anchor Way.

Officers arrived to find the woman, who was not in a vehicle, dead. Her identity hasn't been released at this time.

The driver left the scene and hasn't been arrested, police said. Police described the car as likely a 2010-2016 Cadillac SRX of an unknown color, which will have damage to the lower passenger's front bumper.
