Two software engineers have created a website connecting Niagara job seekers with local employers.

“We wanted to do something for the community as a side project, so we decided to build a community-first local job board strictly for the Niagara region,” said Vince Strazzella, who with his business partner Thomas Boccinfuso created HireNiagara.ca .

Strazzella, from St. Catharines, and Boccinfuso, from Thorold, developed the website throughout the summer.

“What sets us apart is that we are a free local resource only for the Niagara region, for both job seekers and employers,” said Strazzella.

“Also, while the resource is free, employers do have the opportunity to pay for optional add-ons such as featured listings.”
