MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) - Two people and a dog were injured Thursday after a two-vehicle crash involving a deputy’s vehicle in Miami County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred just before 2 p.m. on County Road 25 under Interstate 75 near Concord Township. Troopers said the incident occurred when a Nissan Murano travelled off the right side of the roadway and hit a marked Miami County Sheriff’s Office SUV.
The cruiser was holding both a deputy and their K-9 companion, while the Nissan was being driven by a Dayton man.
Both the Dayton man and the deputy were taken to Upper Valley Medical Center with serious injuries.
The deputy’s K-9 partner was taken to Stornyride Veterinary Service with minor injuries and has since been released.
