LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - President Trump has called him a simple-minded grandstander and a pathetic loser, but Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie has nothing but praise for the commander in chief.

There have been months of attack ads calling for his defeat and a string of presidential social media insults.

But Thomas Massie seems unaffected, even amused by all the negative attention.

“Just a dose of humor is good to deal with it,” Massie said. “I don’t hold grudges against anybody and I’ve never even had a grudge to hold against the president.”

And a two-day, nine-stop tour around Massie’s 4th District proves to be a confidence builder.
