ERIE, PA (WJET/WFXP) — There is a heavy police presence, including a SWAT team in the area behind Summit Plaza (on Peach between Washington and W. Gore) as they conduct a search for a man with a possible weapon.

According to Erie County Public Safety, the search is concentrated in a wooded area. Both Erie Police and Millcreek SWAT are on the scene. At this time, no crime has been committed. It is just a search.

Officials are asking residents to stay indoors, lock their doors and call police with any suspicious activity.
