Former FBI director James Comey was charged Thursday with lying to Congress in a criminal case filed days after President Donald Trump appeared to urge his attorney general to prosecute Comey and other perceived political enemies.

Former Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley says the indictment dismisses the rule of law.

"To me, it's about the President of the United States saying see what I can do as I said I would do against people who would speak against me, against my enemies, and I frankly don't care about the rule of law," Coakley said.
