The National Weather Service released a flood advisory at 6:33 p.m. on Thursday in effect until 9:45 p.m. for Washington County.

The weather service comments, "Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected."

"Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas," says the weather service. "Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles."
