Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of machinery has been stolen from a commercial hire business.

Offenders were captured on CCTV at Sunshine West in Victoria in the early hours of September 12, allegedly moving the machinery between 1am and 5am.

An employee arrived at around 5.15am to find two large flat-bed trucks with $700,000 worth of machinery onboard. The operators of the trucks fled the scene.

The stolen machinery includes an LGMG H625 diesel telehandler, a Haulotte electric scissor lift, a Hangcha gas forklift, a Haulotte telescopic boom and a Sinoboom electric scissor lift.

Police have circulated images of the stolen equipment in the hopes that someone may come forward with information.
