PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- The Peoria Fire Department rescued a person from a ravine on Thursday.
The fire department responded to a ravine near West Forsythe Court and North Wildlife Drive around 6:56 p.m. after a report of a person in need of medical care, Battalion Chief Phil Snowden said.
Fire crews located a person at the bottom of a steep wooden ravine. Crews used a stokes basket, ropes, and pulleys to remove the person from the woods.
The person was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
