Westinghouse coach Donta Green may have been pleased with the end result of his team’s 44-16 victory against Allderdice on Thursday night at Cupples Stadium.

How the Bulldogs pulled it off, well, that was something else entirely.

“Getting a conference win is always good. It just wasn’t the way we wanted it,” Green said. “Too many penalties. Too many mistakes. We’ve just got to get better.”

It might be difficult to find fault in a 28-point victory but to be fair there were plenty of areas of concern. On two separate occasions Westinghouse (6-0, 3-0) had snaps go over quarterback Zahir Ismaeli’s head for 20-yard losses and the team allowed a kickoff return for a touchdown in the first quarter that kept Allderdice (3-2, 2-1) hanging around.
