HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A shake-up in the high school football schedule forced a matchup between two Interscholastic League of Honolulu powers to be postponed.
Saint Louis School officials released a letter to families on Monday saying Saturday’s Crusaders game against Punahou was postponed due to a “shortage of officials.”
Both head coaches say the ILH executive director informed them of the change.
“I’m not in control of that,” Saint Louis head coach Tupu Alualu told Hawaii News Now. “I am in control of what we do here on the football field as head coach for Saint Louis.”
“The official shortage is a real thing. It’s been that way for years, so it doesn’t really catch us by surprise,” Punahou head coach Nate Kia said. “There’s just simply not enough officials to cover on a Saturday
