HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Many volunteers are hard at work transforming flat beds and trailers into vibrant floats for this weekend’s Aloha Festivals Floral Parade.

Pa’u units have also spent the week stringing and bundling thousands of flowers ahead of the highly anticipated showcase.

Many of the floats are being prepared at the Hawaii Convention Center.

For the Hawaiian Council, this is their second year putting together a float.

“The theme is year is ‘Ko Kula Uka, Ko Kula Kai’ Which really references the fact that the foods that we share in this island can be sustained from mountain to the ocean,” Chief Administrator of Kilohana at the Hawaiian Council Tyler Iokepa Gomes said.
