MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) – Behavioral health is a very complicated thing to deal with alone, and with all of the people making the decisions in Denver, sometimes the Western Slope gets forgotten.
But not today.
Colorado's Behavioral Health Administration Commissioner Dannette Smith dropped by for her second community conversation on the Western Slope, just a year after listening to concerns about behavioral health that include access to affordable housing and ways to connect school kids to the help they need.
And that mindset of listening, is exactly why Smith was here on Thursday.
