LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - On Thursday, Sept. 22, 2025, a Texas DPS trooper conducted a traffic stop on a white freightliner box truck traveling on U.S. Highway 83 in Zapata County.

The driver, Jasid Alejandro Ulloa-Correa, gave consent to search the vehicle; that’s where troopers found four undocumented immigrants from Mexico, hiding in a false compartment inside the vehicle.

Ulloa-Correa, an undocumented immigrant from Honduras, was arrested and charged with human smuggling while the four migrants were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol agents.
