Telangana, India’s youngest state, is planning a greenfield city on the likes of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh’s shiny new capital. But Bharat Future City (BFC), chief minister A Revanth Reddy’s brainchild, promises much more than just a ‘greenfield’ tag: it not only has sights set on being the country’s first net-zero urban space, but it also aims to eliminate most problems faced by modern cities, while being at the cutting edge of education and tech.
