Last year, when Carlos Yulo won two Olympic golds (in floor exercise and vault) in Paris, he became the center of the spotlight, as he became the first Filipino man to win an Olympic title. But then came silence. He shut himself up for around 10 months before entering the 2025 Asian Championships at Jecheon. And now, he has come forth with an announcement.

During an interview with the Federation Internationale De Gymnastique , in August 2025, Carlos Yulo shared an interesting musing. He wondered , “I won [Floor Exercise and Men’s Vault], but at the same time [I was thinking] how could I beat that result in the next cycle?” Of course, winning two Olympic golds at Paris 2024 was a highlight moment in Yulo’s career. But now, he has to push past that win.
