OREGON CITY, Ore. (KPTV) - Thursday was the National Day of Remembrance for Homicide Victims.
To mark the somber occasion, families gathered at an Oregon City cemetery to remember those they’ve lost.
The National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children hosted the ceremony, where the names of nearly 500 victims were read from the walls of the memorial.
The Portland chapter of Parents of Murdered Children hosts events and support groups throughout the metro area.
