The Falaknuma Express, running from Howrah to Secunderabad, was halted at Ghatkesar railway station on Friday morning following a terror alert. Joint RPF, GRP, and local police searches found no threat, and authorities suspect the alert may have been a hoax.

Hyderabad: Panic gripped passengers on Friday morning after an alert about suspected terrorists on board the Falaknuma Express.

The train, which was heading from Howrah to Secunderabad, was halted at Ghatkesar railway station.

Teams from the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP) and Ghatkesar local police launched a joint search operation, combing through every coach.

The checks, which had continued for nearly over an hour, caused anxiety among passengers.

Officials said there were no suspicious persons
