Srinagar : The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Srinagar has announced its annual Craft Research Documentation, a cornerstone academic project scheduled to take place from the 17th to the 27th of September.
During this period, students of the fifth semester from all departments will immerse themselves in various artisan communities across the region to document, understand, and promote the country’s rich craft heritage.
This intensive, field-based initiative is designed to provide students with practical, hands-on knowledge of traditional crafts. The project’s primary objective is to bridge the gap between theoretical design education and the living traditions of master artisans.
