Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson makes his first start in an SEC game with an imposing challenge.

The Crimson Tide visits No. 3 Georgia football , which carries a nation’s best 33-game home winning streak, for a 7:30 p.m. game on Saturday Sept. 27.

The redshirt junior is in a groove the last two games, albeit against lesser competition.

After going 17 of 17 for 226 yards and 3 touchdowns against Louisiana-Monroe, he was 24 of 29 for 382 yards and 4 touchdowns in a rout of Wisconsin.

Simpson will take aim at a Georgia defense that was blistered for 4 touchdown passes and 371 passing yards but won in overtime 44-41 at Tennessee on Sept. 13.

The Bulldog secondary had had two weeks to regroup.
