The 30-scrip basket slumped 400 pts to 80,759 levels, while the Nifty 50 index traded 100 pts lower at 24,762.<br /><br />On the sectoral front, IT and healthcare stocks were the worst hit, falling by up to 3 per cent. Healthcare stocks slipped into negative territory after US presidential candidate Donald Trump announced 100 per cent tariffs, effective from next month.<br /><br />On Thursday, the Sensex had tumbled 555.95 points, or 0.68 per cent, to settle at 81,159.68. The index opened Friday’s session under pressure at 81,574.31, compared with the previous close of 81,715.63, amid broad-based selling. It further slipped to an intraday low of 81,092.89.
