Shares of Vodafone Idea Ltd (VIL) slipped close to 10 per cent on Friday after the Supreme Court deferred hearing of the company’s plea on adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues to October 6, 2025. On Friday, the telecom stock plunged as much as 8.98 per cent, hitting an intra-day low of Rs 7.90 apiece on the BSE. Supreme Court proceedings Earlier, the telecom operator had approached the apex court seeking to quash the Department of Telecommunications’ (DoT) fresh demand of Rs 5,606 crore relating to the financial year 2016–17. VIL argued that its dues had already been "crystallised" by the 2019 AGR judgment and could not be reopened.
