MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) -- As of 5 AM Friday, Humberto is now a hurricane. Winds are sustained at 75 mph, and the storm has slowed down over the past couple of hours.

Humberto does not pose a threat to the United States, but it will be yet another hurricane that rapidly intensifies. It is expected to peak as a Category 4 hurricane early next week before making a sharp northeast turn out to sea.

The threat of development has continued to grow for Invest-94L, which is currently centered north of Haiti. This area is also likely to become at least a tropical storm, if not stronger, and therefore be named. The next name is Imelda.

Development will be slow over the next 24-48 hours, but strengthening is expected as the system moves over the Bahamas on Sunday. Impacts to the Carolinas could
