MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)--It will be another very hot and humid day. The beaches are expected to peak in the mid-80s, while inland areas are forecasted to reach the low to mid-90s. Florence did tie their high temperature record yesterday at 94 degrees. There will be a stray shower today, but it will remain mostly sunny through the afternoon. The heat index will range from 97-102 degrees.
A cold front will slowly move across the area on Friday, bringing more scattered showers to the area, and this will continue through Monday. It will not be continuous downpours, but showers will be intermittent over the weekend. Over the next 7days, rainfall will range from 2-4″, with some of which is from the stalled cold front, with the rest likely from a nearby tropical system.
