Porvorim, September 25, 2025: Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte, briefing the media on the day of the special assembly session, highlighted the significant employment opportunities that the Unity Mall project will create for local communities in Chimbel.

Speaking about the Unity Mall, Khaunte emphasized that it is part of the Central Government’s “One District, One Product” initiative, designed to empower local residents and promote entrepreneurship. He said, “The Unity Mall will provide meaningful employment and open up new opportunities for villagers, bringing positive transformation to Chimbel.” He added that this initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already been successfully implemented in 22 other states.
