Kasargod, Sep 26: A police constable died in a tragic accident early on Friday morning while travelling to trace an accused in a drug-related case. The incident took place at Chengala Fourth Mile, on the outskirts of Kasargod city.

The deceased has been identified as police constable K K Sajeesh (40), a member of a special team led by Bekal DySP. The accident occurred around 2:45 am when the car in which Sajeesh was travelling collided with a tipper lorry. Another policeman in the vehicle, Subhash Chandra, sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment.

According to police reports, as the car was coming onto the service road through an underpass at Chengala Fourth Mile, a tipper lorry coming from Cherkala towards Kasargod struck it. B
