Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland says it’s important to put defeat to Genk in the past and look forward, as “incredible moments” are close.

The Ibrox side’s horrendous start to the season continued on Wednesday with a 1-0 loss to the Belgian side in their Europa League opener. The team are still winless in the league and head coach Russell Martin is under serious pressure with fans demanding he is sacked.

Butland, who saved a penalty from former Celtic striker Oh before conceding the only goal of the game, accepts that the results have been tough to take but says the only way for him to deal with them is to put them behind him and look forward.

“You can’t win them all,” he said. “That’s no consolation, but it’s you know what you’re gonna do about it? I’m incredibly gutted about tonight.
