The Assam CID has summoned Shyamkanu Mahanta, organiser of the North East India Festival in Singapore, Zubeen Garg’s Manager, Siddharth Sharma and 11 others who were with Zubeen Garg in Singapore before his demise.

They have been given a 10-day deadline to appear before the CID.

Lookout notices will also be issued against all of them if they fail to comply.

The move comes as part of the ongoing high-level probe into the circumstances surrounding the untimely death of Assam’s most loved son and legendary singer Zubeen Garg on September 19 in Singapore.

The case is being investigated by a 9-member Special Investigation Team (SIT), headed by CID Special DGP Munna Prasad Gupta.
