The Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron (1TS) made a strategic port call at Mombasa, Kenya, as part of its long-range training deployment across the South West Indian Ocean Region.
The squadron, comprising INS Tir, INS Sujata, INS Shardul, and ICGS Sarathi, was warmly received by the Kenya Navy, the Defence Advisor, and the Acting High Commissioner of India.
This visit follows earlier stops in Seychelles, Mauritius, La Réunion, and Mozambique, and aims to foster stronger maritime cooperation under the guiding spirit of MAHASAGAR — Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions .
