Texas law enforcement are searching for a Campbellsville University student after he went missing while preparing for a fishing tournament, according to a Facebook post from the Texas Game Wardens .

Peyton Hughes, 21, was reported missing Sept. 24 on the Toledo Bend Reservoir, which is on the Texas and Louisiana border, while pre-fishing before the tournament, officials said.

Officials with Bassmaster , which hosts the fishing tournament, said Hughes was registered to participate in the Bassmaster Kayak Series event Sept. 27-28. When Hughes did not arrive at a designated meeting place, his travel partner contacted authorities, according to Bassmaster.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officers later found Hughes’ kayak, officials said, but have not found him.
