BANDON, Ore. (KPTV) - A 5.9 magnitude earthquake hit off the Oregon coast on Thursday night, followed by two smaller quakes, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was first reported at about 11:45 p.m., about 142 miles (230 kilometers) west of Bandon. It was followed by two other earthquakes, both registering at a magnitude of 3.0.
According to the USGS website , 14 people reported they felt the 5.9 magnitude earthquake.
No tsunami is expected for the Oregon coast.
