The Toronto Maple Leafs are returning to a familiar face.

On Friday, the team announced that they’d brought back former starting goalie James Reimer for a professional tryout deal, commonly known as a PTO.

The Leafs have three remaining preseason games, which Reimer could potentially feature in, particularly with Joseph Woll away from the team for personal reasons.

Reimer had previously played 207 games for the Leafs from 2010 to 2016, as well as seven playoff games in 2013. He had a record of 85-76-23 in with a goals against average of 2.84 and a save percentage of .914 for the Leafs in his career.
