COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A shooting took place at a Volkswagen dealership in the Midlands.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said they responded to a shooting at the Volkswagen dealership on Killian Rd. just before 11 a.m. on Friday.

Deputies said when they arrived, they found a man who had been shot and has been taken to the local hospital.

The suspect fled before authorities arrived. This is an isolated incident, and the scene is secured, deputies said.

Authorities are asking people to avoid the dealership at this time to allow for an investigation.
