Prime Video’s sleeper hit show of the summer , We Were Liars , has finally been confirmed to be returning for a second season. The adaptation of E. Lockhart ’s novel of the same name follows a group of teenagers, known as the Liars, as they spend their fateful 16th and 17th summers at the Sinclair family compound on Beechwood Island. The group is spearheaded by Emily Alyn Lind ’s Cady, joined by her cousins Mirren ( Esther McGregor ) and Johnny ( Joseph Zada ), and rounded up by their childhood friend, Gat ( Shubham Maheshwari ). Through flashbacks, their stories unfold while telling a cautionary tale of the dangers of living a privileged and unbridled adolescence.
