Anya Peterson stopped modelling after bullies at high school caused her to feel insecure.

But she pushed her haters aside, returned to her passion and now has the world is at her feet, as the winner of super-competitive Top Model International.

Peterson, 19, took London Fashion Week by storm last weekend when she became the first woman from WA to win the competition.

The Joondalup teenager beat models from 14 other countries to claim the final, which was her prize for also winning Top Model Australia held in Melbourne earlier this month.

“Winning in Australia and winning internationally is an insane feeling, it’s still sinking in,” she told The West from Amsterdam.

Peterson strutted the London runway wearing designer labels, including a Polish brand, which resonated with her heritage
