LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police say University of Kentucky running back Jamarion Wilcox was arrested and charged with sexual abuse.

PREVIOUS: Protective order filed against UK football player

According to investigators, on August 20, officers received a report of unwanted sexual contact at a home on S. Upper Street. According to court records , a protective order was filed on August 20 by a woman who accused Wilcox of unwanted conduct at an off-campus apartment. A judge granted an emergency protective order.

Wilcox was taken into custody on Friday and is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center. He is charged with sexual abuse 1st degree.

In early September, UK head coach Mark Stoops confirmed Wilcox was suspended for violating a team rule.
